About me
I am a Gifted and Talented Coordinator and GT teacher with Conway Public Schools in Arkansas. I have nearly 30 years of experience in education and have taught 2nd through 7th grade at three different schools. My work has included classroom teaching, gifted education, curriculum development, program leadership, and supporting teachers as they meet the needs of advanced and gifted learners.I am passionate about equitable gifted identification, talent development, creativity, higher-level thinking, and helping students discover their strengths. I am currently serving my 6th year as Director of Camp Invention, and I previously served for two years as Director of the Pediatrics Plus summer program. I also sponsor the Ida Burns after-school Garden Club and Chess Club.One of my greatest passions is helping students find their passion, their confidence, and their community. In addition to my work in education, I am also an author and website creator. I enjoy designing meaningful resources, building creative projects, and helping educators connect strong instructional practices to real student growth.
